Atomic has picked up the creative advertising account for Audi following a competitive pitch with a number of other agencies. The account was previously held for the past number of years by Cawley Nea\TBWA.
Atomic will be responsible for delivering all of Audi Ireland’s advertising campaigns and the account will be headed up by Stephen Quinn and Niall Dowling. The agency’s other clients include a number of well known brands and companies including the likes of Unilever Ireland, Rory McIlroy, Valeo Foods, Ben & Jerry’s and IDA Ireland.
In the 10 month period up to the end of October 2012, Audi sold 3,617 new cars in Ireland according to official figures compiled by the Society of the Irish Motoring Industry (SIMI). This gave it an overall market share of 4.62%. By comparison, BMW sold 3,289 cars over the same period putting it on a market share of 4.20% while Mercedes sold 1,794 new cars giving it a market share of 2.29%.
