Siobhan Lennon has been appointed as the new commercial director of the Sunday Business Post.
Lennon has worked in a number of senior roles in the Irish newspaper industry over the past fifteen years and she will be familiar with the task that lies ahead of her as this is her second time taking on the job as commercial director of the paper.
She joins the paper from media agency MEC where she has been heading up MEC Access for the past few months. Prior to joining MEC she was head of client services at News International in Dublin.
Lennon joins the Sunday Business Post following its recent purchase out of examinership by a group headed up by Paul Cooke and Key Capital. Cooke is the former managing director of the Independent Star. It is understood that the group, through its investment vehicle, Brindisi Ltd, paid €750,000 for the title. Staff at the paper have also been given a 6% stake in return for productivity-related concessions and wage cuts.
