Gary Brown is set to renew his formidable business partnership with Geoff McGrath at Target McConnells by becoming the agency’s new executive chairman.
Brown is taking over from Pat Donnelly who, together with McGrath, was instrumental in setting up Target McConnells which was formed from the merger of McConnells and Target Marketing. For the past few years Gary Brown has been chief executive of the below the line division of the DDFH&B Group, which includes marketing agency Goosebump and PR company Bespoke with Direction.
Target McConnells now employs 70 staff and clients include Vodafone, Guinness, An Post, Topaz Energy, Tesco, Budweiser, Unilever and the GAA.
According to Brown,”Pat Donnelly invited me to take over his interest in the business as chairman and I was delighted to accept. Target McConnells has, already within its first year, proven itself as a potent fusion of an iconic advertising brand with a leading digital marketing brand so this is a fantastic opportunity which I am really looking forward to. I have spent the past seven enjoyable years working with The DDFH&B Group but now I feel it is time for a new challenge.”
