MEC has appointed Niamh Deans as head of MEC Access, the agency’s sponsorship, sports and entertainment division.
Deans has a wealth of experience across the communication spectrum having previously worked for the Irish Daily Star as agency account manager, The Larkin Partnership as well as media agencies Carat Ireland and ZenithOptimedia in London. She replaces Siobhan Lennon who recently joined the Sunday Business Post as its commercial director.
According to David Hayes, CEO of MEC Ireland, “It’s not often that you come across someone of the calibre and experience of Niamh Deans. It is rare to find someone who has worked across, media owner, media agency and creative agency side. Niamh will be a tremendous asset to MEC and this is exactly the kind of experience we need manage the phenomenal growth we have seen already in Access since we launched it late last year”.
