The Dublin-based market research firm B&A has picked up the contract to carry out the Irish fieldwork for the Eurobarometer survey.
The overall Eurobarometer service is handled by TNS on behalf of The European Commission and European Parliament, and involves interviewing approximately 1,000,000 citizens every year in more than 35 countries across Europe.
The Eurobarometer is the most significant and regular measure of public opinion in Europe and covers a number of important issues facing the EU, including the economic situation, globalisation, the protection of the environment, immigration, poverty, and international affairs, many of which have been tracked over several years.
Ian McShane, Managing Director at Behaviour & Attitudes, said, “We are extremely proud to have been chosen as TNS’ Research partners for the biggest Political & Social research contract ever commissioned, based on our proven track record of delivering large, complex projects. We look forward to participating in a contract which ultimately provides policymakers with comprehensive information to help them in their decision-making processes.
