MediaVest’s AidanGreene
One of the biggest Government media buying contracts has been awarded to MediaVest. The account was previously held by the Aegis-owned Brindley Advertising for a number of years.
The account, which is estimated to be worth in the order of €4m covers the planning, buying and placing of Government ads, on behalf of the Office of Public Works (OPW), in national and regional press. It is understood to be one of the most lucrative accounts around. While it is estimated that at one stage that it was worth up to €10m back in 2006/07, Government cut-backs across the board has been accompanied by huge spending cuts in areas like advertising, marketing and public relations.
MediaVest’s other clients include the likes of Aviva, Ulster Bank, Hailo, RSA, Spar, Dublin City Council, Aer Lingus, O2 and Electric Ireland.
