Maximum Media, the publisher of Joe.ie and Her.ie is launching a new sports website called SportsJoe.ie.
The new site has already signed up a number of high profile sports people to contribute including Conor McGregor, Jason McAteer, David Wallace, Jerry Flannery, Paddy Barnes, Aidan O’Shea and Cillian Sheridan.
SportsJOE.ie will be led by Evan Fanning and an eight strong editorial team. As well as in-depth analysis and reporting, SportsJOE.ie will cover a broad spectrum of sports such as American football, cricket and baseball.
Fanning, son of the former Sunday Independent Editor Aengus Fanning, joins Maximum Media from The Telegraph Sport where he has been Content Editor working across web, mobile, iPad and print products since 2012. Prior to that he spent four years as a writer and web editor at Guardian Sport. He has also written extensively on sport, film and technology for AOL, the Sunday Independent, Life Magazine, HotPress and others.
