An Post has returned to the competitive mobile phone market with a new offering that hopes to take a substantial slice of the lucrative pre-pay data market.
As part of its drive, Post Mobile has embarked on a €750,000 advertising campaign that was created by Target McConnells and directed by Declan Lowney of Father Ted and Moon Boy fame.
Post Mobile is mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and uses the Vodafone network and the state-owned company is hoping to attract pre-pay customers through its branch network of over 250 post offices around the country. According to An Post, these branches have a footfall of 900,000 per week.
