The sponsorship, which will run for 12 months, is part of a three-year investment and expansion programme by LloydsPharmacy in Ireland. This includes an investment of over €2m in implementing a new patient services programme to complement the 21 patient services already on offer in-store.
With over 382,000 listeners tuning in each day, Liveline is the second most listened to programme on Irish radio. The sponsorship was negotiated by Livewire, the sponsorship agency which is part of Core Media, having been identified by its sister agency Mediaworks which manages media buying and planning for LloydsPharmacy.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with RTÉ’s Liveline. As a community-centred pharmacy group, Liveline is an ideal partner for LloydsPharmacy. Liveline is an Irish institution and has established itself as the platform for communities in every corner of the country to have a voice. This partnership reflects our commitment to providing patient-centred services and value to our customers. Just last week for example, we announced our new pricing structure, which allows patients to benefit from savings of up to 33% across a large range of prescription medicines,” says Goretti Brady, managing director of LloydsPharmacy.
According to Jill Downey, managing partner of Livewire, “we are thrilled to have secured on LloydsPharmacy’s behalf, the biggest radio show in Ireland available to be sponsored. The synergies between both parties are fantastic and we have a clear vision of how Liveline can achieve all of the right objectives for LloydsPharmacy”.
