The growing popularity of podcasts and podcasting continues with the launch of two new podcast series by Independent News & Media (INM) which has launched “Ready Business” and “The Floating Voter.”
The “Ready Business” podcast, presented by Brian Purcell, former judge on the Irish Apprentice and MD of Big Picture Communications was created as part of a partnership with Vodafone. This weekly podcast aims to help Irish businesses connect better with their customers and staff, and discusses how to drive efficiencies within their business.
According to the publisher, a key objective of the “Ready Business” podcast series is to engage with Irish business leaders and to hear their stories about how technology and connectivity is helping their businesses. Listeners are also encouraged to participate by submitting their questions using hashtag #ReadyBusinessAdvice and expert panellists will answer these weekly as part of each podcast.
According to Julian Hecksher, head of digital sales at INM: “‘we are delighted to launch this new “Ready Business” podcast in partnership with Vodafone. This is an exciting way for brands to connect with their target audience through relevant, engaging and easily accessible content. It has been launched in conjunction with the Vodafone “Ready Business” hub on Independent.ie.”.
The new political podcast, “The Floating Voter”, meanwhile, is , hosted by INM’s group political editor Kevin Doyle and aims to “cut through the political soundbites, ignore the spin and burst some of the bubble that surrounds Leinster House.” Other correspondents contributing to the series include Philip Ryan and Niall O’Connor.
