The Omnicom-owned agency OMD Worldwide has been named the world’s most creative media agency by the Gunn Report for Media 2015, a position it has held on to since the report was first launched back in 2004.
The Gunn Report for Media is one of several global industry standards that evaluate media creativity by taking into account the number of awards agencies and their brands win in any given year. The rankings reflect a point system based on awards won in more than 50 annual award competitions worldwide.
After OMD, which clocked up 621 points, the top five slots were claimed by Starcom-MediaVest with 537 points; Mindshare with 501 points and another Omnicom agency PHD, in fourth place with 461 points. MediaCom was in fifth place with 257 points.
Of the brands that picked up the most awards during the year, Coca Cola topped the 2015 list, followed by Samsung in second place while McDonald’s came in third place, with Vodafone and IKEA in fourth and fifth place respectively.
In terms of the most awarded countries, the USA topped the rankings followed by the UK and India in second and third place. Australia and Hong Kong, meanwhile, came in fourth and fifth.
