MCCP has appointed Brían Merriman as its new research director. He will lead MCCP’s “Discovery Team” whilst working closely with the strategy directors.
With a PhD in psychology from the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre at NUI, Galway as well as BA and MLitt degrees in psychology from University College Dublin, Merriman is a highly experienced market research and data analyst with more than 13 years’ quantitative and qualitative research under his belt. Merriman previously worked as research lead on a number of national social policy development projects at Trinity College Dublin and St Patrick’s College. He was also associate director for Coyne Research.
According to Kay McCarthy, founder and managing director of MCCP: “This extensive training in psychology, as well as Brían ‘s many years of experience working in research, enables us to offer clients a deeper understanding of human behaviour and how best to obtain pure insights from the client’s targeted demographic. Brían brings experience of sectors as diverse as ecommerce, disability, pharma, FMCG, education, and financial services. Brían has led an award-winning team on a youth mental health project and has published more than 50 papers and reports. Contributing to the discourse on analytics, and we are thrilled to have him joining the MCCP family.”
