Paul Farrell, the former MD of IPG Mediabrands and commercial director of the Irish Times has been appointed as vice president sales and marketing at Virgin Media.
For the past two years, Farrell has been director of strategy and marketing at Davy Stockbrokers. Prior to that he was managing director of IPG Medibrands.
One of the most respected marketers, he also spent four years as commercial director of the Irish Times and five years as marketing director of O2 Ireland.

In his new role at Virgin Media, he will join the company’s executive board and report directly to Hanway.
