ADFX 2016: The Shortlist

The shortlist for the most sought after awards in Irish advertising the ADFX Awards, have been announced by The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) at an exclusive event this evening. The IAPI ADFX Awards are widely recognised as the toughest in the industry taking place every two years, entrants must thoroughly prove how a campaign was effective and how it added to the bottom line. The 2016 IAPI ADFX Awards are taking place in the Intercontinental Hotel on September 22nd steeped in 1920's glamour, the awards will have a range of themed entertainment on the night along with a very special guest host. Campaigns span a variety of sectors from charity to FMCG, tourism to public service. A new category has been introduced to measure long-term effectiveness of campaigns of more than 2 years - highlighting the importance of consistency. Details of the shortlist for this year’s ADFX Awards have been published. The Awards will take place on September 22nd and tickets are now on sale.

Topping this year’s shortlist of creative agencies was DDFH&B which was shortlisted 14 times across all categories. It was followed by Rothco with seven entries while Irish International had five entries on shortlist. After that most of the other shortlisted slots went to Cawley Nea\TBWA, Boys & Girls, Chemistry, Publicis Dublin McCannBlue and In the Company of Huskies.

As many of the entries were entered jointly with media agencies, all of the top media agency groups also featured prominently on the shortlist including OMD & PHD which were shortlisted seven times as well as Mindshare, which also shortlisted seven times. Mediavest, meanwhile, made the shortlist five times.
