Jane McDaid, the founder of Thinkhouse, the youth marketing agency, has been selected to feature on the ‘Innovator 25,’ a list featuring EMEA’s most influential people in marketing. The list was compiled and published by The Holmes Report, one of the world’s leading marketing publications. It is the first time an Irish agency owner has featured on the list.
Since launching in 2013, The Holmes Report’s ‘Innovator 25’ has established itself as an important barometer of global marketing and communications innovation. Each year, it identifies 25 individuals in North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific who are, according to The Holmes Report, “reshaping influence and engagement in an era of dramatic marketing and communications disruption.”
McDaid set up Thinkhouse in 2001 and the agency now has offices in Dublin and London. Clients include Unilever Heineken Ireland, William Grant & Sons, Coca-Cola, ESB & Electric Ireland and eBay.ie. The agency employs 40 staff.
According to Arun Sudhaman, Editor-in-Chief of The Holmes Report, “After a research and nominations process, we identified a list of 25 pioneers and risk-takers — not necessarily the people with the most power, but the ones who have helped to redefine engagement, marketing, and reputation management. The people recognised here come from various corners of the industry — creative strategy, digital execution, influencer mapping, media storytelling — but together they represent a compelling picture of what marketing and communications looks like today, and where it is heading tomorrow.”
Jane McDaid, Founder of Thinkhouse, said: “We keep our efforts focused on doing great work for great brands and innovating how things can and should be done. So, when things like this come along unexpectedly, it’s great to take time out and acknowledge what great work our phenomenal team at Thinkhouse is doing. To be identified by The Holmes Report, a publication I’ve always had huge respect for, and to feature alongside some of the most innovative people in global marketing, is incredibly exciting,” adds Jane McDaid
Apart from McDaid, the list also includes Alexandra Dimiziani, Global Marketing Director of Airbnb; Cecelia Weckstrom (Global Head of Lego.com & Consumer Experience) Lego; Daniel Ureña, Managing partner, MAS Consulting (Madrid); Gerry Hopkinson, Co-Founder of Unity (London); Jeremy Basset, Head of Unilever Foundry (London); Jimmy Larsson, Head of Comms, Raoul Wallenberg Academy (Stockholm); Stephen Waddington, Chief Engagement Officer, Ketchum (London) and Thomas Crampton, Global Managing Director, Social@ogilvy
