Meteor, the eir-owned mobile phone brand, is first to market with Facebook’s newest offering, the indigenous Shop.
In conjunction with Vizeum Ireland, the Meteor Facebook Shop was launched last week with the intention to leverage the reach available on social media, together with the ability for users to make a purchase directly through the platform.
Social media continues to grow as a key component of the research phase for any retail brand, and Facebook shop will help to bridge the gap between research and action.
Three featured phones are available from the Meteor Facebook home feed, while a separate shop section is available for users to browse individual products.
According to Rachel Delaney, Digital Marketing Communications Manager at Meteor, “we are always looking for new ways to ensure that our offerings are aligned with the evolving behaviour of online consumers. We are excited about this new platform and are confident that it will drive additional revenue, while making it easy for consumers to buy through our online channel”.
