Media consultant Nigel Brophy has left Ebiquity Marsh to set up his own independent media consultancy firm, Brophy Media Consulting.
One of the most experienced media professionals in the industry, the new consultancy business will offer five key services to clients including media auditing and strategic consultancy, ensuring advertisers will see cost savings, a greater return on investment and enhanced exposure within their media budget.
“There is a large gap in the market to provide an alternative professional media consulting service to advertisers here in Ireland,” says Brophy.
“The vast knowledge and experience BMC has of the media market place, ensures our clients receive the most comprehensive insights, a competitive advantage in an improved media performance and a drive to greater growth.”
Brophy has spent the last 30 years working in the media industry, having started his career in Dublin with Young Advertising as a media executive. After four years with Young, he moved to London, where he worked for Saatchi & Saatchi and then Zenith Media at its inception in 1988.
He later moved to the Middle East as Media Director of O&M and was responsible for restructuring the media buying unit of Unilever Arabia. In 2000 he was headhunted by Starcom Worldwide to establish the Global Business Unit in London for its Procter & Gamble business. In February 2003, he was appointed by Ebiquity to set up and run its Irish office. In 2016, Ebiquity announced that it had acquired FLE Marsh, a media consulting company in Ireland.
Nigel Brophy has also joined to the panel of judges for the Media Awards 2017 which will take place on April 20th in the Clayton Hotel, Dublin 4.
