JCDecaux has announced that it will be working with three partner charities for a two year period, commencing in January. The partner charities for 2018 / 2019 are Alone, Barnardos and Fighting Blindness.
JCDecaux will be donating over €2m worth of outdoor media space over this two year period to support each charity in their efforts to raise awareness and drive fundraising.
According to Tony O’Flanagan, marketing director of JCDecaux: “We are very pleased to be in a position to partner with these three exceptionally worthy charities in 2018/2019. We are looking forward to using our formats to increase awareness on a national basis of the key issues facing each charity.”
According to Seán Moynihan, Chief Executive of ALONE: “Working with JCDecaux, we have a very effective platform to highlight policy issues and raise awareness on the issues facing older people. We are able to reach older people and encourage them to contact us for support, as well as attract volunteers and support from across the country.”
Fergus Finlay, Chief Executive of Barnardos, adds: “Barnardos are delighted to be chosen again as one of the charities to benefit from JCDecaux’s generous support. This partnership gives us an invaluable opportunity to tell people about our work and the children we support – which we would otherwise be unable to do.”
“With this incredible support from JCDecaux we can raise vital awareness of our work to cure, support, empower and reach more people in the community who may be struggling with sight loss and need support. This partnership will also help us generate much needed funds which is essential in continuing our work,” says Kevin Whelan, Fighting Blindness CEO.
