Calor has agreed to extend its sponsorship of Countrywide on RTÉ Radio 1, Ireland’s leading rural-affairs and agricultural magazine programme.
Presented by Damien O’Reilly, IMRO Radio Award winner, Countrywide is broadcast every Saturday morning on RTÉ Radio 1 between 8am and 9am to 189,000 listeners around the country. Regular contributors to the show include Suzanne Campbell, Brenda Donohue, Darragh McCullough and Ella McSweeney.
The sponsorship was brokered by OMD, with creative work by BBDO. The 12-month sponsorship deal includes four sponsor-credited stings per week and promotional spots. The deal also includes sponsorship of the Countrywide website and of the increasingly popular Countrywide podcast.
According to Tara Farrell, sponsorship manager, RTÉ Radio: “RTÉ Radio 1 has enjoyed a long-standing sponsorship partnership with Calor which is an iconic Irish brand which represents a great fit for Countrywide. We look forward to developing our relationship in 2018. ”
Sharon Nolan, Marketing Manager of Calor adds: “We are delighted to continue our association with Countrywide. Calor is the brand of choice for energy customers living in rural Ireland. For over 80 years, we have made a clean, reliable gas supply available to Irish homes, wherever they are in the country. As homes and businesses place an increasing priority on sustainability and playing their part to better our environment, 2018 is the year in which Calor launches the first renewable gas product in Ireland. No audience better understands the need for sustainable solutions than rural communities.”
