Thinkhouse, the Dublin-based youth marketing agency, has been selected to feature in the 2018 edition of the ‘World’s Leading Independent Agencies,’ a global publication published by Campaign magazine in collaboration with thenetworkone, the world’s largest network of independent agencies.
Featuring alongside 14 agencies from China, South Korea, India, Finland, Singapore, Germany, USA and the UK, Thinkhouse is the only Irish-owned agency to appear in the publication.
According to Jane McDaid, founder & head of creative innovation at the agency, “Over the last 12 months we really ramped things up and managed our growth with the passion, energy and collaboration that makes THINKHOUSE special. We’ve innovated and advanced our offering, at pace, to exceed the expectations of some of the world’s most ambitious, innovative brands and organizations. Our services include insights, planning, strategy, PR, creative, social, film, design, advertising and events – all underpinned by a relentless focus on cutting-edge youth culture and changing digital behaviours. Featuring in this publication is a great milestone in what will be another exciting year at Thinkhouse.”
At the launch of the 2018 edition, Julian Boulding, President of thenetworkone, said: “In the 2018 edition, half the agencies included are from Asia or Africa. China, India, Korea, Singapore, South Africa and Tanzania. The world is changing – the East and the South are no longer second best to the North and the West. They are equals. Last year we all talked about Uber, this year it’s Grab and Didi Chuxing.
“In the agency world, the traditional US and European holding companies are falling like stones. WPP has lost a third of its value in twelve months. The interesting thing is, all over the world, independents are rising. With independents, there’s an enthusiasm for new ideas and new technology, allied with a strong focus on social purpose. These are the agencies people want to work for – and work with – in 2018.”
Thinkhouse was founded in 2001 by Jane McDaid and its directors are McDaid and David Coyle. The agency employs 50 people across Ireland and the UK and clients include Unilever brands like Ben & Jerry’s, Lynx, Dove as well as Heineken, Life Style Sports, William Grant & Sons, MISSGUIDED, Electric Ireland, Pieta House, BelongTo, and SOLAS.
