Oliver Ireland has picked up the pan-European account for the Malta Tourism Authority following a competitive tender process that saw 44 agencies from around Europe tender for the account.
The original tender, which went out last year, was initially for a rebrand and other related creative services for the Malta Tourism Authority but this has since been widened to include creative advertising and a range of other services for 13 different international markets.
The three-year contract has already started and the original rebranding brief has been fulfilled. The new branding is based on the Maltese Cross, the traditional symbol of the islands and the tagline for the new campaign is “More than we could ever tell.”
According to Mark McCann, CEO of Oliver Ireland: “We are absolutely delighted to win this contract and it is an endorsement of the exceptional collective talent of the Oliver Ireland team. European tenders aren’t often won by Irish agencies and so we are very proud to have been awarded this and look forward to working closely with the MTA. Already we are working with 13 offices around Europe as well as the Head Office in Malta, to supply creative solutions to their requirements for the Malta Tourism Authority.
“Oliver provides clients with dedicated marketing services and creative teams to help them deal best with a disruptive and ever changing interactive world. The company is different because the client teams are agile, adaptive, creative, and filled with brilliant people. Our goal is to grow by delivering value to our clients. This is a goal achieved through continuously investing in the teams’ expertise and ability to provide the widest range of brilliant services that deliver results,” he says.
