The GroupM agency Wavemaker and IT Tallaght have announced details of their 2019 student collaboration project.
The project is aimed at advertising and marketing students who are required to complete an advertising portfolio as part of their final year module.
As part of the next collaboration, Wavemaker teamed up with its entertainment client Paramount Pictures to deliver a live client brief to the students this week. The students will split into teams and each will be assigned a real agency role and work on the on the brief between now and next May. As part of this, they are required to devise a campaign strategy aimed at addressing and solving the problems posed in the brief.
According to Aoife Hofler, who is leading the project for Wavemaker: “This is our fifth year working with IT Tallaght and we believe that sourcing and finding next generation talent is crucial part of Wavemaker’s future. We love working with IT Tallaght to help develop this talent and we have several past pupils employed in Wavemaker today.”
Patricia Medcalf, IT Tallaght said “It’s important for us that our students get out beyond the classroom and get real agency experience. It’s great to partner with an agency like Wavemaker and a fantastic brand like Paramount to help us deliver those goals.”
