Publicis Dublin has announced the appointment of Mark Ryan as non-executive director. Ryan is former managing director of Accenture in Ireland and currently serves on the boards of DCC, Immedis, Blueface and Wells Fargo Bank International.
According to Padraig Burns, Managing Director of Publicis Dublin: “At Publicis we are evolving our model from traditional advertising agency, to creative consultancy. Using the creativity in our DNA we have extended our offering to provide a number of our clients with strategic consultancy in the areas of service design and customer experience. Mark’s experience will accelerate that process and he will have a hands on role as we build a creative consultancy for the modern age.”
He adds that Publicis Dublin has grown strongly in the past 12 months adding blue chip clients such as Virgin Media, Davy, Standard Life and Heineken.
According to Mark Ryan: “I am delighted to take up this non-executive role with Publicis Dublin and look forward to working with the management team on bridging the gap between advertising agencies and consultancies. With huge disruption in the marketplace from new technologies it is exciting to challenge the orthodoxy of the traditional separate ad agency and consultancy model.”
Between 2005 and 2014, Ryan was Country Managing Director of Accenture in Ireland, during which time he led the development of a business that expanded its services and grew the number of employees to over 1,600 highly skilled consultants, technology and business operations personnel. He also drove numerous initiatives within Accenture around gender equality, charity and community projects.
