Ireland is a changed landscape. Some changes were needed, like our three passed referendums. Some changes have been more elaborate. Like Poke Bowl restaurants, a festival for every weekend of the summer, and an endless choice of dairy alternatives for our growing Flat White addictions. It’s safe to say we’ve evolved as a nation. But luckily, ŠKODA have evolved with us.
With these changes in our culture in mind, ŠKODA have followed up their established, “Made for Ireland” campaign, progressing it to reflect the Ireland of 2019. With the help of creative agency, Boys + Girls, they’ve released a new campaign, showcasing how their 191 cars have been built for a new Ireland in a fun and humorous way.
The campaign consists of three 20” TVC spots, directed by Pull the Trigger’s Chris Cottam, as well as a suite of three radio commercials.
According to Laurence O’Byrne, Creative Director at Boys + Girls, “From coffee culture to social media, we’ve come a long way as a nation, and ŠKODA have continued to adapt to our needs. Providing us with all the space, functions and details needed to cater for our growing notions”.
Eimear Walshe, ŠKODA Marketing Communications Manager, agrees, ‘We are really thrilled with this campaign which is a continuation of our ‘Made for Ireland’ work. Ireland has evolved over the last number of years as has the ŠKODA brand. Our range has everything for our new Ireland whether it’s our compact hatchback or our ever popular SUV range, KAROQ & KODIAQ.”
