The Architects of Business, the show that runs on Joe.ie in partnership with EY Entrepreneur of the Year, is back for a second season.
The show, which is available to listen to as a podcast and to watch on JOE’s YouTube channel, across the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ social media channels and at www.eoy.ie, tells the inspirational stories behind the island of Ireland’s most successful entrepreneurs. The hugely successful first season of the show was nominated for ‘Best Podcast’ at the prestigious Digital Media Awards. It welcomes a brand new host for its second series, in the form of Sonya Lennon, co-founder of burgeoning fashion brand Lennon Courtney, award-winning social entrepreneur and TV presenter.
Previous guests included Brian Lee, Founder of Chopped; Dalata Hotel Group Founder and CEO Pat McCann; Samuel Dennigan, Founder of Strong Roots; Fergus and Francis McArdle, Height for Hire and CEO of Keelings fruit company, Caroline Keeling.
Series two kicked off with an in-depth interview with Pat Rigney, an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ finalist in 2018 and the man behind Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, which was last month chosen as the world’s best gin at the ‘Gin Oscars’ in New York.
According to Daragh Byrne, Group CEO, Maximum Media: “The Architects of Business has been a huge success story and a fantastically collaborative project from the very beginning. EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ is all about celebrating and connecting entrepreneurs across Ireland and there is no better way to achieve that on a mass level, than with a show like this. We’ve been able to share some of the most eye-opening success stories to come out of this country in the last decade and the reception has been excellent. We are thrilled to bring another series to what has been a hugely engaged audience”.
Kevin McLoughlin, Head of Tax and Partner Lead for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Ireland adds: “Podcasting has proven to be the perfect platform for deep diving into business and personal stories from the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Alumni. They have a wealth of experience and business knowledge to share. Our first season of The Architects of Business gave some brilliant insights into the highs and lows of the entrepreneurial life, from people who are just starting their entrepreneurial journey to those with decades of experience. We are delighted to be able to showcase some of the incredible people, from every corner and sector on the island, who are creating employment and bravely driving Ireland’s economy forward. They are the people leading Ireland’s most innovative companies who are working to secure our competitive edge. We’re looking forward to a very successful season two, working with Sonya and the team at JOE.”
