The sports media brand Pundit Arena has teamed up with Electric Ireland to create a range of multimedia content to help bring to life the latter’s sponsorship of the GAA Minor Football and Hurling Championships.
Both companies, working closely with the Core-owned Spark Foundry, have created an “always-on drumbeat of content that is activated across a mix of digital channels.” This includes a range of features across editorial, social, video, and gamification, culminating with coverage around the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Awards, bringing a new way to showcase this unique event and celebrate the major achievement of the Minor players.
This week will see the roll-out of a new video series profiling both current and former stars at the Minor levels, as well as the introduction of a cross platform gaming competition, the Major Shootout. The game will give fans a chance to test their skills in both football and hurling to win tickets to the All-Ireland Minor finals.
According to Maeve Galvin, Sponsorship Programme Manager for Electric Ireland: “Our #GAAThisIsMajor campaign highlights that for the players, their clubs, coaches, families and communities there is nothing minor about playing Minor. Electric Ireland has a long tradition of supporting young people in sport and we are delighted to partner with Pundit Arena this year to showcase the upcoming talent, as many great sporting stars make their mark in the Minor Championships.”
Fergus Farrell, Agency Sales Manager for Pundit Arena, included: “We are delighted to get an opportunity to partner with Electric Ireland in showcasing the best of the past, present and future of the GAA Minor Championships. We’ve enjoyed developing a content strategy that allows us to tell new stories through different mediums that resonate well with our unique and passionate GAA audience.
Iveta Ivanova, Digital Client Manager with Spark Foundry, added: “We have collaborated closely with Pundit Arena and Electric Ireland to bring together great content through a great platform. Through our understanding of media and content, we are excited to activate the This Is Major GAA Minor Championships sponsorship. The partnership has offered us the opportunity to engage the target audience, while helping us build the emotional connection with the campaign.”
