This week the Institute of Creative Advertising and Design (ICAD), will be lighting up the streets with an advertising campaign to promote the power of Irish creativity. The campaign will feature on JCDecaux Digishelters to promote ICAD’s forthcoming December exhibition The Best Of Us.
The Best Of Us will be a unique exhibition staged in association with Dublin City Council, Creative Ireland, JCDecaux Digishelters, The Business Post and Algorithm and will use pioneering video projection, along with interactive digital guides, to present the best of Irish advertising and design on selected Dublin buildings as backdrops.
The exhibits were chosen from over 600 submissions into the 2020 ICAD Awards. The awards were judged by a distinguished creative panel of national and international judges, with the results overseen and ratified by Nicky Doran of Davy Stockbrokers.
According to Rossi McCauley, president of ICAD, The Best of Us is part of the Institute’s response to the promote solidarity amongst the creative community during the Covid crisis. As a non-profit, membership-led body, he says the key focus was on creating interactive support forums and skills-training initiatives with creative partners and associates. This reflected the Institute’s founding principles: to foster, promote and reward creative excellence in Irish advertising and design.
“The exhibition will not be a back-slapping exercise for creatives,” he says. “It’s a unique opportunity for our members to connect with the public, and demonstrate the vital role Irish creativity is playing in helping brands survive and thrive in the national recovery.”
The Best of Us exhibition will run from December 3-5th. For more information visit www.icad.ie
