The Dublin-based public relations company Weber Shandwick, which was part of IPG, has rebranded to Káno Communications.
The full-service communications and public relations agency will continue to act as Irish partner to the international Weber Shandwick network.
The rebrand follows on from a management buy-out of the business led by managing director Siobhan Molloy in 2020.
“The new brand name and identity is inspired by the ancient Greek word káno meaning ‘doing and making’ which we believe reflects the agency’s ‘can do’ attitude and culture. We’re the same expert team of communications professionals with a continued deep commitment to creativity and collaborative partnerships with our clients to deliver integrated communications programmes across digital, social and traditional media,” says Molloy.
Founded over 30 years ago as Financial & Corporate Communications (FCC) the firm became part of Weber Shandwick in 2000. Weber Shandwick is ultimately owned by the US marketing communications giant IPG.
