Following on from the lockdown success of Sally Rooney’s Normal People on RTÉ, the Chilean wine brand Casillero del Diablo will sponsor Rooney’s latest 12-part series, Conversation with Friends. In the past, the brand has also aligned itself with other dramas both on RTÉ and Virgin Media Television, including the likes of Blood, Red Rock’, Darklands and most recently the global phenomenon Normal People.
“Aligning CDD with Irish dramas has been hugely successful for us over the past number of years, helping to move the brand from No 5 to No 1 in the Irish market. In 2020 we ramped up our investment securing the highly acclaimed ‘Normal People’ which was a massive success delivering great business results. We are excited to now sponsor ‘Conversation with Friends’ which is set to be one of the biggest shows of the year,” says Aoifle Hofler, director, Javelin.
