Starcom, part of Core, has made a number of key senior appointments including those of Jen Walsh and David Fogarty as digital board directors. In addition, Dave Thompson has been appointed as head of digital.

An experienced digital practitioner, Jen Walsh has led digital strategy at Zenith, also part of Core, and has worked with a diverse range of clients. She also spent some time working with IPG Mediabrands where she was head of digital strategy.

Fogarty, meanwhile, has worked with a number of companies including the likes of RTÉ, Electric Media and SalesOnline. Since 2017, Fogarty has led key initiatives at Core Investment, including becoming the first agency to secure IAB Gold Standard Accreditation and building a team to achieve Google Premier Partner accreditation.

In addition to the appointments of Walsh and Fogarty, Starcom has appointed Dave Thomson as head of digital. He originally joined Core in 2014 for several years before going to Canada where he worked with Dentsu, returning to Starcom in 2020.

“We are delighted to share and celebrate these appointments – with three of the Ireland’s most experienced digital experts, leading our teams and client solutions in Starcom,” says Emer Lawn, managing director, Starcom.

“Our board and leadership team has digital expertise at its core; which ensures our clients remain at the forefront of the ever-changing media landscape. Beyond this, Jen, David and Dave each offer extensive and unique experience – in client innovation, ad tech and operations and digital strategy – and together, ensure Starcom are consistently bringing our clients the best and most effective digital and performance solutions,” she says.
