Pluto Targets Scammers With Campaign for FraudSMART

With digital fraud becoming increasingly more sophisticated, Pluto has designed a campaign for FraudSMART.

FraudSMART is the fraud awareness initiative developed by Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI) in conjunction with Ireland’s banks.

Called “See the Scam Behind the Screen”, the campaign “leans on visually striking content, using phone screens as a metaphorical barrier between the scammers and the unsuspecting public to highlight the different ways that scammers are trying to steal your personal and financial information.”

The campaign was designed for digital and social first channels and targeted at a broad audience, meeting them where scams often occur: on their phones, tablets, and laptops. Campaign executions also involved digital OOH in public places like forecourts and train stations.  By leveraging dynamic animations, the agency “transformed complex information into digestible, shareable content.”

“Pluto’s work exemplifies the power of creative storytelling in tackling real-world issues. By peeling back the digital curtain and exposing the tactics of modern fraudsters, we’ve designed a campaign that is as educational as it is engaging, proving once again that creativity has a crucial role to play in safeguarding the public,” says Ian McCabe, managing director, Pluto the Agency.
