Hugh Finlay, a former planner with McConnells Advertising and industry stalwart has launched a new company, Capital Marketing, which is aiming to take a slice of Ireland’s €1.2bn branded premia market.

Commenting at the launch, which took place earlier this week, Finlay said, “We’re launching Capital Marketing at a pitch perfect time, there’s much more confidence and optimism in the air and we’re finding that clients are wanting to invest in tried and tested advertising mediums such as promotional products, which can be a high-impact and cost-effective way to get a brand noticed. What makes us different is our people and our collective capabilities, we’ve hired seasoned specialists who have experience in delivering award-winning brand campaigns at a global and local level, including planners who will bring a rigour of thinking and creative energy to client briefs.”

Capital Marketing works with a network of accredited suppliers with products sourced and manufactured both locally in Ireland, and further afield in Asia and EMEA. He says that due to an increase in demand among clients for Irish-produced premia, Capital Marketing is actively investing in building its network of local manufacturers and suppliers that can deliver Irish-made branded products at scale. The company can source and produce a wide range of premia from high quality, low cost branded items through to bespoke promotional merchandise.

The agency has experience in sourcing bespoke premia for a range of client requirements including conferences, hospitality, experiential and direct marketing campaigns targeted at consumers.

“We are one of the few brand marketing solutions companies that can offer its clients a dedicated design team, who I believe are some of most creative and talented designers in the industry”, Finlay added.

The company has also announced that it has appointed Nicola Kenny as its key account manager, “bringing with her over six years of industry expertise across both account management and business development in the areas of brand marketing, recruitment and technology.”

Chairman of Insomnia Coffee Company, Bobby Kerr who also attended the launch, described Capital Marketing’s opening as a welcome enhancement to Ireland’s reputation as a hub for designing and manufacturing premium products.

“I believe that Capital Marketing has the capabilities to become one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of premia in Ireland today. Ireland needs to continue to strengthen its reputation as a world-class designer and manufacturer of quality products and I know Capital Marketing will become a key influencer in this space,” said Kerr.
