“Super Saturday” will arrive in TV3’s Ballymount studios as the broadcaster gears for what is likely to be its busiest Saturday ever as it makes its debut as the official Irish broadcaster of the NatWest Six Nations and gets ready to broadcast the inaugural series of Ireland’s Got Talent.
Hosted by Joe Molloy, the NatWest 6 Nations will kick off Super Saturday on TV3 from 1pm with exclusive live coverage of Wales v Scotland, followed by Ireland’s opening match away to France in Paris.
Ronan O’Gara will lead TV3’s team of studio experts alongside Matt Williams and Shane Jennings, with Shane Horgan and Alan Quinlan at Stade de France.
TV3 has secured Gillette as its sponsor for its coverage of the NatWest 6 Nations. The multi-platform sponsorship deal was brokered by Core Sponsorship and will include the broadcast sponsorship and digital sponsorship across 3player and Virgin Media On Demand and across the ‘NatWest 6 Nations’ hub on tv3.ie.
According to Matthew O’Hanlon, assistant brand manager of P&G Ireland: “Gillette is very proud to sponsor TV3’s coverage of the NatWest 6 Nations. At Gillette, we aim to help men look, feel and be their best by preparing them for what lies ahead. The idea of preparation is synonymous to both Gillette and all of the teams competing in this year’s NatWest 6 Nations championship. And we are excited to be supporting coverage of one of the biggest events in the Irish sporting calendar.”
Sarah Geoghegan, Brand Partnerships Account Manager with Virgin Media Solutions adds: ‘’As we count down to the launch weekend of the NatWest 6 Nations on TV3, we are delighted to announce Gillette as our broadcast sponsor of Rugby’s Greatest Championship. It’s a hugely exciting time for TV3 Group and with international rugby forming an intrinsic part of our biggest ever spring schedule, it’s only fitting that we are partnering with Gillette – a major international brand with strong rugby heritage. ‘’
Following Ireland’s all-important opening match, the excitement will continue directly when the opening episode of Ireland’s Got Talent will be broadcast.
Presented by Lucy Kennedy, Ireland’s Got Talent sees judges Louis Walsh, Michelle Visage, Jason Byrne and Denise Van Outen embark on the nation’s largest ever talent search.
The main show will be directly followed by the first episode of spin-off show Ireland’s Got Mór Talent, fronted by TV3’s Glenda Gilson and social media influencer, James Kavanagh.
