As more public relations agencies move into the creative services space, the Dublin-based firm Edelman has been appointed as the lead creative agency for the Coca Cola-owned Deep RiverRock water brand following a competitive tender process.
The appointment will see the Edelman Ireland team lead creative strategy including all above-the-line, digital and social activity for Deep River Rock.
The appointment comes during a period of growth for the agency which has seen it double in scale over the last five years with significant recent client additions in the form of Unilever, Danone, Novartis, Pfizer and KBC Ireland.
According to Tara O’Rourke, Marketing Manager CCH Brands: “I always knew Edelman as a strong PR agency but had little understanding of the breadth of their creative capabilities. Over the last number of months the team has transformed my perception by demonstrating through brilliant strategic and creative thinking a deep understanding of where we need to go as a brand. The world in which we operate has changed immeasurably over the last number of years and I’m delighted to be partnering with an agency that not only understands this change but has been at the forefront of a new approach to reaching our audience.”
“We’re delighted to partner with Coca-Cola HBC and look forward to bringing success to the Deep RiverRock brand over the coming years. We’ve invested significantly in our planning and creative capabilities and this win is another great example of the impact of this investment. Our holistic approach to solving the challenges faced by our clients has allowed us to stand out in the market and attract long term client partners,” says Joe Carmody, Managing Director of Edelman.
The Edelman team will be led by Senior Director Darragh Rea, Associate Director Jennifer Hyland and Senior Creative Simon Chapman and supported by an extended team of creative, planning and digital experts.
