Dialogue, OMD and PR firm Drury Porter Novelli have been appointed by the Italian pharma company A Menarini Ireland to develop a new public awareness campaign for one of the last remaining sexual taboos – premature ejaculation, a condition which affects up to one in five men.
The campaign – ‘Take Control’- is a multimedia campaign using PR, digital, TV and cinema advertising and is aimed at raising awareness of the condition and to urge Irish men who think they may suffer from PE to ‘take control’ of it. The campaign includes a dedicated website www.takecontrol.ie which contains information on PE and advice on how to talk to your doctor about it.
According to Johnny Murphy of A Menarini Ireland, “The consortium members were appointed as they not only understood the issue but more importantly were able to bring a full 360 degree solution to our brief. The team have been working on the campaign for a number of months and since launch we have achieved so many of our KPIs that we set when we appointed the agency grouping.”
Michael Killeen from Dialogue Marketing adds: “In our 20 year history, this has been one of the most interesting projects to work on. While the subject matter does not get a lot of coverage the issue affects 1 in 5 men and we are looking to deliver information to Irish consumers about the condition.”
With global revenues of €3.4 billion and 16,600 staff worldwide, A Menarini is Italy’s leading pharmaceutical company.
