The “Three Trending” news and video portal on Independent.ie is now attracting over 200,000 unique users per month on Independent.ie.
The Three Trending section on the Independent.ie website contains a broad mix of content ranging from viral videos to Twitter spats, topical technology, interactive polls, user-generated photo galleries all with social sharing functionality and was launched last September in association with the mobile phone network Three.
“The Three Trending section is about sharing social news with our readers quickly and effectively. We build rounded articles in a three-dimensional fashion – including how to share, follow and get involved with every story. The section works with the Independent.ie Twitter and Facebook pages to ensure you get the news you want on your chosen platform,” says Clare Cullen, Independent.ie’s social media editor.
