Acast, the world’s largest podcast company is to partner with the Cork Podcast Festival which takes place in the city between Friday October 11th until Sunday October 13th.
Acast currently works with a number of popular podcasts in Ireland including Blindboy, The 2 Johnnies, Irish History Podcast, Niall Breslin’s Where is my Mind?, Des Bishop’s The Shift and Owning It: The Anxiety Podcast. Globally, its roster includes My Dad Wrote a Porno, Griefcast, The HighLow, The Football Ramble, Off Menu, David Tennant Does A Podcast With… and The Adam Buxton Podcast, as well as a host of media companies like The Times, The Economist, Guardian, VICE, and Vogue. Acast operates from a number of offices around the world and employs 160 staff.
According to Jennifer Dollard, Acast Ireland’s content manager: “Supporting such an important new event like Cork Podcast Festival is a no-brainer for us. The Cork Podcast Festival line-up includes a wide range of podcasters broadcasting in areas like fiction, sports, comedy and business, including the likes of Blindboy, Tara Flynn, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, the West Cork Podcast with Sam Bungey and Jennifer Forde and the It Galz.
