Gym+Coffee has been named as the winner of The Pitch, the nationwide competition which is run by IMAGE Media, in association with Samsung Ireland. The winner wins €100,000 of Samsung technology for their business.
Gym+Coffee is an Irish owned and designed athleisure brand co-founded by Diarmuid McSweeney, Niall Horgan and Karl Swaine. The brand stocks hoodies, tee-shirts, leggings, shorts and more.
Gym+Coffee was named the overall winner following a live final at Dublin City’s Hall where nine entrepreneurs had to make their business pitch to a panel of esteemed judges on why they should win the life changing prize for their company.
This year’s judging panel comprised entrepreneur and beauty mogul Jo Malone CBE, Newstalk presenter and founder of Insomnia Coffee Company, Bobby Kerr, Linda Nolan (Marketing Director Samsung Ireland), Clodagh Edwards (CEO IMAGE Media) and last year’s winner Jennifer Rock aka The Skin Nerd.
Following much deliberation Gym+Coffee was named the overall winner thanks to a polished pitch that displayed the passion for starting the business, the community they have built, the determined growth plans for the future and the reasoning why the prize would make such a difference for the business.
As well as winning a huge suite of game-changing technology products from Samsung Ireland, Gym+Coffee will also receive a significant multi-platform media package from IMAGE Media, and a social media marketing masterclass from award-winning agency Teneo Ireland.
