David Ahlstrom has been appointed as head of invention at media agency Mindshare.
His appointment follows a number of recent staff changes including the appointment of Ken Nolan as deputy managing director and Jessica King, who was appointed business director.
According to the agency the Invention unit in Mindshare is the hub of the agency’s creative thinking, focusing on non-traditional activation through branded content, sponsorships, experiential and social media. The focus of this appointment is to define and develop media neutral communications platforms for Mindshare’s clients.
“The need for our consumer engagement to inspire and excite has never been greater and the appointment of David as Head of Invention will help in driving this. David already has an excellent track record in building highly creative and engaging communications platforms for our clients and this move will further enhance his ability to go even further in this area. We’re really excited about the possibilities that this will create,” says Bill Kinlay, CEO of Mindshare.
