At a difficult time for sport, Extra.ie have confirmed that the 2020 Extra.ie FAI Cup will go ahead this year. This is the centenary year of the cup which has been sponsored by DMG Media Ireland brands for the past six years.
The creative for the sponsorship was created in-house by DMG Media Solutions and ran across print, digital and outdoor as the competition was on hold during lockdown, before progressing to warm up and finally kick-off as clarity was achieved for the cup.

2019 was Extra’s inaugural year of the sponsorship and saw record TV viewership and attendances with over 578,000 tuning in to watch live and over 33,000 fans attending November’s final.
This year’s first round took place on Monday August 10th and the second round kicks-off on August 28th.
