With competition in the mortgage market showing no signs of abating, BBDO Dublin has rolled out a new campaign for EBS that highlights the benefits of having one single dedicated mortgage advisor to help applicants on their entire mortgage journey.
The campaign is running across TV, radio, social, digital and out-of-home and was written and art-directed by Eoin Conlon and Robert Boyle and was directed by Chris Balmond at Antidote.
The TVC features Aoife and Sean, two first time buyers who are presented with a carousel of different bank employees and end up viewing more mortgage advisors than homes…until they visit EBS.
“EBS’ USP has always been its people,” says Pauline Carmody, senior marketing manager, AIB which owns EBS.
“Feedback from EBS customers is almost always in praise of the specific EBS Mortgage Person who supported them through every twist and turn of their homebuying journey. That’s why this campaign celebrates the personal service that EBS people provide to every customer, every day,” she says.
“When you begin the mortgage process as a first-time buyer, you aren’t aware that most banks will pass you from person to person, turning an already daunting process into a stressful ordeal. However, with EBS you have a mortgage person in your corner the whole way through. We wanted to bring this unique benefit to life in a funny and memorable way. So, we worked with Chris Balmond, who helped us get there using a healthy dose of hyperbole, a brilliant cast of characters, and a small bucket of body paint,” adds Robert Boyle, head of art, BBDO Dublin.
