Bloom has rolled out a new advertising campaign for the iconic Irish food brand Clonakilty Black Pudding.
Manufactured by Clonakilty Food Co in Cork, this is the brand’s first major advertising campaign for its world famous black pudding.
“Well it’s not strictly true that this is our first time advertising on television. We ran an ad during the 1980s All Ireland final to wish the Cork team good luck,” says Colette Twomey, owner and managing director of Clonakilty Food Co. “But that only ran the once, so this really is our first proper TV campaign.”
Called “Be a Rebel” the campaign encourages consumers to include the pudding in a wide variety of dishes including stir-fries and burgers.
“It was a real thrill for us to work with Colette, Ed, Niamh and all the team on this phenomenally successful Irish brand,” says Sinéad Boyle, managing director of Bloom.
“Clonakilty Black Pudding is more than just a culinary delight; it’s a cultural icon beloved across Ireland and around the world. Being a rebel is a huge part of this brand’s DNA and we can’t wait for Irish people to take up the rebellious call and celebrate the delicious taste that Clonakilty can bring to every meal,” says Mooney.
“The thing that Bloom captured so well with their concept is the versatility of Clonakilty Black Pudding,” says Niamh Garvey, marketing manager, Clonakilty Food Co. “Most people think of it in the traditional fry, but we love to champion its use in brunch, lunch and dinner. A simple sprinkle over any meal adds flavour in an instant,” she adds.
