Glenveagh, Ireland’s leading home builder, has entetred into a three year sponsorship of the family festival Kaleidoscope which takes place this weekend in Russborough House in Wicklow.
The family music and camping festival will see a weekend line-up of headline and homegrown musical acts alongside over 100 hands-on family activities for families to enjoy.
Across the weekend, the Elemen-Tree School of Design will host a series of workshops aimed at sparking creativity and interest in architecture among children. Budding builders will have the chance to participate in four design workshops, guided by the expertise and passion of well-known architect Dermot Bannon.
These workshops will branch out into a competition where young festival goers will design their ultimate treehouse. The winning design, chosen for its creativity and innovation, will be brought to life by Glenveagh’s team, with design consultation by Dermot Bannon, and built at the winner’s home.
According to Cameron McDonnell, Head of Marketing at Glenveagh; “At Glenveagh, we believe in building more than just houses, we believe in creating communities where families can thrive. Our partnership with Kaleidoscope is a perfect extension of our community pillars, bringing families together to celebrate creativity, design, and the joy of creating something extraordinary.”
As an architect, I believe it’s never too early to plant the seeds of creativity and design,” adds Dermot Bannon. ” The Glenveagh Elemen-Tree School of Design at Kaleidoscope is the perfect playground for kids to let their imaginations run wild and branch out into the world of architecture. I can’t wait to see what they dream up and create with outside in the open air with no tablets or consoles. I’m very excited to see the tree-mendous treehouse designs that will sprout from this fun initiative!”
