The annual Taste of Dublin culinary event, which is sponsored by Electrolux will take place from Thursday June 16th to Sunday June 19th and once again IMJ/Adworld.ie will be giving out tickets to some lucky winners of our competition, the details of which will be on our Facebook and Twitter pages over the coming weeks.
This year, Taste of Dublin is championing Ireland’s leading culinary talents who are at the helm of some of the most iconic restaurants in the world’s most vibrant cities.
Paying homage to the Irish chefs creating waves internationally, Taste of Dublin’s Homecoming celebration will welcome to the Iveagh Gardens the award winning talents of chefs Cathal Armstrong who has cooked for US President Bush and President Obama; Robin Gill from the renowned Dairy Restaurant in Clapham London and former Gordon Ramsay’s Head Chef Anna Haugh, all of whom will cook alongside some of the country’s leading culinary figures including Nevin Maguire, Kevin Thornton, Richard Corrigan and Kevin Dundon.
The four-day event will celebrate the vibrant and diverse Dublin culinary scene and over 30,000 people are expected to flock to Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens, home to the event for the last 11 years. Over 60 exhibitors, including many household culinary names, will also be exhibiting over the weekend.
For the first time the festival will champion the new kids on the block of the Irish food scene with Bunzl McLaughlin backing the Rising Star award.
For the eleventh year running, Taste of Dublin is bringing a superb selection of restaurants to the festival including the likes of Brioche, Chapter One, Diep le Shaker, Jaipur, Suesey Street, Matt the Thresher, Rock Lobster, Saba, AMUSE and Pichet.
While Electrolux is the headline sponsor of the event, this year the newly-launched French automotive brands, DS Automobiles has also teamed up with the event as a new Platinum Sponsor and exclusive car partner of the festival.
This newly launched French automotive premium brand draws on outstanding heritage and a philosophy of innovation and excellence. The DS range, comprising of the DS 3, new DS 4 and DS 5, will be showcased at the event.
This year, the festival will see the return of the O’Brien’s Wine Experience. Master of Wine Lynne Coyle and special guests will host a series of tasting masterclasses where attendees can try new wines, learn about the wine making process and pick up tips on wine and food pairing. The festival will also welcome exciting new experiences including a Tapas Experience brought to you by Spanish Tourism Office and The Port House, Discover the World of Food & Beer with Molson Coors and The Franciscan Well Brew Pub is taking vacation from Cork to pop up in the capital for Taste of Dublin 2016!
