Aoife Hofler has been appointed deputy managing director of the GroupM agency MEC.
MEC is one of Ireland’s fastest growing media agencies and clients include Vodafone, Netflix, SAB Miller, General Mills and Visa.
Hofler joined MEC in 2013, at a senior management level and has been instrumental in the significant growth the business has enjoyed since then.
Working alongside David Hayes, CEO, she will also play a lead role in imminent launch of MEC Wavemaker, a brand new content offering for brands.

A native of Cork, she graduated from UCC with an honours degree in Sociology and Psychology. Following which she secured a place in the very competitive MSc in Advertising.
She joined MEC in 2013, following a two-year stint in Vizeum London where she held the position of Account Director and Chief Liaison for UK and Ireland for existing business and new business pitches, primarily working across IKEA and Kerryfoods business.
She also worked for Vizeum in Dublin between 2008 and 2011 as well as the Core Media-owned Mediaworks between 2005 and 2008.
