With a degree of nostalgia always underpinning the hopes of the Irish soccer fans in the run up to the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament, which kicks off tonight, the Irish Daily Mail and the Irish Mail on Sunday have bagged Jack Charlton to contribute to both papers as part of their overall coverage.
The man who coined the phrase “put em under pressure” and who brought the Republic of Ireland to new levels will pen a series of exclusive columns throughout the tournament, beginning this Sunday, June 11, the day before the Republic of Ireland takes on Sweden its opening match. He will join a team of sports writers that also includes former Irish international Kevin Kilbane.
