Bob Hoffman and Dara O’Briain to Star at ADFX 2016
With just two weeks to go until ADFX 2016, IAPI has announced that its headline speaker for the event is Bob Hoffman, author of The Ad Contration blog while Dara O’Briain will be the MC for the night.
Hoffman has been described by Time magazine as “fabulously irreverent” while the Wall Street Journal has referred to him as “caustic yet truthful.”
A writer, speaker, and advisor, Hoffman is one of the most sought-after international speakers on advertising and marketing. In the past year, he has spoken in Canada, UK, Spain, Belgium, and all over the U.S and his blog is one of the most influential marketing and advertising blogs in the world.
He has also written several books including “101 Contrarian Ideas About Advertising” and “Marketers Are From Mars, Consumers Are From New Jersey” which was an Amazon bestseller. In the past, he served as CEO of two independent ad agencies and has worked on accounts for McDonald’s, Toyota, Pepsico, Bank of America and AT&T.
Meanwhile Irish comedian and chat-show host Dara O’Briain will be returning to these shores as MC for the big night.

ADFX 2016 will take place in the InterContinental Hotel, Ballsbridge followed by drinks, three course meal and entertainment throughout the night by The Bugle Babes and the best in vintage dancing tunes from Gramophone Disco.
This year’s event is the biggest yet with a 20% increase in the number of entries over 2014 with 53 contenders in 12 categories battling it out for the long-awaited awards ceremony.
The awards ceremony is hosted by IAPI in association with headline sponsor TV3 and supported by YouTube, Facebook, CommunicorpOne, The Irish Times, PML Group, Media Central, Screen Scene, The Sunday Times.
