Paying for car insurance must be the ultimate grudge purchase. But fear not, the good people at Volkswagen are offering one year fee insurance with every new Polo. Featuring Baz and Nancy Ashmawy, this TV spot subverts the premise of their Emmy winning TV show ‘50 ways to kill your Mammy’. In this ad it’s Baz who’s in peril, not Nancy. In fact, Nancy is the gleeful Polo driver, thoroughly enjoying herself on a typically dangerous rally circuit as she puts the fear of God into her son. And while Volkswagen will insure any new Polo free, maybe they’ll draw the line at one being driven with such abandon by Nancy!
