IAPI has launched its 2017 quest to find Ireland’s hottest young creative talent to send to this year’s Cannes Lions. This year Ireland will send seven teams of young creatives to annual advertising festival, the largest number of Young Lions ever fielded by Ireland in the 60 year history of the festival. Teams will compete in the national heats in Ireland in February/March 2017.
As part of this year’s competition, IAPI is working with four charity groups including Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, The Wheel, Jigsaw and Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland.
IAPI will provide the 14 competition winners with an all-expenses paid trip to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, 17 – 24 June 2017 including a Young Lions full week festival pass, flights Dublin/Nice, accommodation, and access to all the Cannes seminars, award ceremonies, showcases and material.
To enter, you must be under 30, born on or after 25 June 1986 and resident in Ireland. Categories this year include the following:
- Cyber (IAPI member agencies only; creative, media or digital)
- Media (IAPI media member agencies only and those digital member agencies who buy media)
- Print (IAPI member agencies only)
- Film (IAPI creative member agencies only)
- Design (Freelance or in house designers (member/non-member agencies))
- PR (PRCA & IAPI member agencies)
- Young Marketers
To be eligible to compete in the Young Marketers competition the team must be made up of two young professional working for client companies that engage the services of advertising and communications companies. Freelancers are not eligible to compete in Young Marketers.
